Origin
The Fluffy Cloud was created by Jorge Perdomo García-Granados in 2018/19 in Brooklyn, NYC. A gift for Burning Man 2019, a thank you for it’s incredible effect it had on him on his first Burn in 2018.
The project was designed to create a community gathering space where people could gather more intimately in a more natural 360 format — not unlike how we all first started our communities long ago -- gathered around a bonfire with music.
What is it?
The Fluffy Cloud is a radical re-imagining of what a live sound and light experience can be. It is simultaneously a major-scale touring immersive art installation, as well as a full-fledged 360 festival-grade performance stage.
At it’s core though, it is a platform for creativity.
The uniquely intimate, powerful, and immersive audiovisual experience created by the Cloud can be used to amplify a whole range of different experiences.
From movie nights, to classical music, to yoga, to soundbathes, to art exhibitions, to pop-up restaurants, to scientific research on neuromodulation… to of course, some pretty epic parties!
What one can do with the Cloud is only limited by our imagination. Have an idea? Get in touch with us via our Collaborate page!
What makes it so special?
A monumental artwork towering nearly 3 stories in the air, the Cloud is a sight to behold. Together with our 64,000 internally mapped LEDs, 360 “SAURON” kinetic lasers, kinetic sound, and other surprises the Cloud is already an experience in itself just as a feat of art and engineering to behold with your eyes.
However it is what you cannot see with your eyes which we are most reknown for.
Our sound is our heart, what makes us stand wholly apart from any other. Our patent-pending overhead “APOLLO” sound design rains down and bathes you in 60,000 watts of high-fidelity studio-quality sound, capable of hitting frequencies as low as 25Hz — 29% more powerful than any other system in the world.
You are enveloped… immersed…shaken. This isn’t just sound you hear, it’s sound you feel.
No photos, videos, or text can really describe it. Only by experiencing it will you be able to truly understand.
Why we do it.
We do it because we want to make magic for people. We do it for the look of wonder in people’s eyes as they experience something unlike they’ve ever seen before. For the smiles. The laughter. The tears. The love. We do it for our community. Along the way, we hope to be able to use the Cloud as a force for good, bringing people together and creating special experiences where we can use to spread the 10 principles of Burning Man across the wider world.
Civic responsibility (this is our favorite!)

Radical self-reliance
Communal effort
Leaving no trace
Decommodification
Our events around the world are all fundraisers helping us continue our non-profit participation at Burning Man. Funds raised help cover our production costs in the desert, as well as R&D so we can continue to push the envelope in production innovation so we can keep blowing people’s minds year after year.
We are still only getting started!
Impact-driven
With great power, comes great responsibility. We seek to use our unique spotlight to create and share opportunity. From helping grow new underground music talent, to raising funds and bringing awareness and funds to partner non-profits. Money is not why we do this. It’s not about putting points on the scoreboard, but making more than we are taking in this world.
